丁平，自幼跟隨母親張佳梅女士學習舞蹈，1996年畢業於北京舞蹈學院附屬中等舞蹈學校芭蕾舞學科，同年進入中國國家芭蕾舞團，演出古典芭蕾舞劇「天鵝湖」。1997年回港後，加入香港舞蹈團，同年於大型舞劇《魚美人》中擔任男主角。2000年獲香港演藝學院頒發獎學金進入學院深造，02、04及06年獲香港芭蕾舞學會邀請，於古典芭蕾舞劇《仙凡之戀》、《天鵝湖》、《吉賽爾》中擔任主要角色。丁氏於2001年及2005年被邀請擔任由康樂文化事務署及香港芭蕾舞團合辦的「社區文化大使」，並參與多個舞蹈藝術推廣及教育項目。丁氏亦曾多次應邀出訪外地作藝術及文化交流，當中包括96年法國「拿波爾」藝術節、1999年第五屆中國藝術節、2000年捷克布拉格藝術節及2001年澳門藝術節等等。

Jason Ting started his dance learning with his mother, Camy Cheung, since a young age. He graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 1996 and was selected to enter the National Ballet of China as a trainee in the same year. He returned to Hong Kong Dance Company in 1997. He played the leading role in many productions of the Company. In 2000, he was awarded a scholarship and entered the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts to further advance his dancing.

During these years, he was invited by the Hong Kong Ballet Group to perform in La Sylphide as Gurn, Swan Lake as Rothbart, Giselle as Hilarion and Sleeping Beauty as the Prince. He was also invited to perform in the Cultural Ambassadors Program jointly organized by the Hong Kong Ballet and the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department in the year 2002 to 2006.

          除擔任演員外，丁氏亦參與舞蹈創作工作，憑作品《心逝》、《扇語》、《巾幗魂》、《學堂》、《宮》多次獲得全港公開舞蹈比賽金獎、校際舞蹈比賽優等獎及編舞獎等；芭蕾舞作品「SWAN」獲得第37届全港公開舞蹈比賽芭蕾舞公開組金獎及最佳表現獎。06年獲邀與導演吳思遠先生、男高音歌唱家莫華倫先生合作，為「星光燦爛徐小鳳06」演唱會、「第十五屆澳門藝術節徐小鳳演唱會」作舞蹈總監。

Jason was frequently invited to participate in a variety of overseas Artistic sand Cultural exchange, such as French Napoleon Arts Festival in 1996, The 5th China Arts Festival in 1999, The Prague Arts Festival in Czech in 2000, Macau Arts Festival in 2001 and so on.On top of being a dancer, Jason also participated in many choreography works and many of his original dance pieces won the Gold Medals and Best Performance Awards in HK Open Dance Contest, Award of Excellence and Choreography in Schools Dance Festival. In 2006, he was also invited to be the main dance choreographer and artistic director for Paula Tsui’s Concert.

          2008及2011年分別獲香港舞蹈聯會頒發「藝術貢獻大獎」- 表演獎、教育獎。2014年獲邀擔任香港芭蕾舞學會50週年慶典匯演經典芭蕾舞劇《睡公主》主要角色。2016,17年分別擔任 “Malaysian International Ballet Grand Prix” (馬來西亞國際芭蕾舞比賽) 評判。

In 2008 and 2011, he was awarded the “Artistic Contribution Award” in Dance Performance and Dance Education respectively by the Association of HK Dance Organizations. In 2014, he was invited to play the leading role in “Sleeping Princess” in the HK Ballet Group 50th Anniversary Performance. He was also invited to be the honourable judge in Malaysia International Ballet Grand Prix in 2016 and 2017.

          2021年始 , 為更致力推動亞洲舞蹈藝術文化交流 , 正式調任香港青少年舞蹈總會-運營總監

Starting from 2021, in order to concentrate on the promotion of dance artistic and cultural exchange, Jason was promoted to be the Chief Operating Officer of HK Youth Dance Association and Executive Director of Asian Elite Dance Competition.
